Internet Business Myths:
Before you get started with your internet business, whether it is with
us, someone else, or on your own, there are a few myths that are passed
around that we feel you should be aware of.
So, here we go...
Do Nothing, and Make a Ton of Money
in the Process
Unfortunately, there are a lot of programs on the internet that
proclaim all you have to do is sign up for their program to get in a
turn key duplicable system in which they rave about automatic success.
It's understandable to dream, and hope you found the one program out
there that actually succeeds, but 99.999% of the time you should know
deep down that this stuff doesn't work. Even if you were blown away by
the testimonials by how easy it sounds to spend 3 hours a month and make
$10,000, you have to know that these results are not typical by any
means (read the fine print it's mentioned somewhere). What do you think
happens to those people after they make that one lucky deal that they
tell you about in their testimonial? They keep trying and hoping to make
that one lucky deal again like a crazed addicted gambler. If it were
that easy to make that kind of money, then it's just as easy to lose it,
along with your savings while trying to recover.
So remember in any type of business or business opportunity, you have
to put the time in to succeed. You have to do something to make that
money.
The Millionaire Success Secret for
Only $19.97
No one in their right mind is going to sell you their magic
millionaire secret, their one thing that made them the success they are
today for only $19.97 for the next 59 minutes. Because we all know that
a deal like that can't last long because after 59 minutes it'll turn
into a pumpkin. Those of you who are laughing know what I'm talking
about. If you don't know, that's good too, because that means we
probably caught you at the beginning of your entrepreneurial adventure.
Do you know why they won't share that one true secret? It's because
there's a lot more than one little thing to do to make a great business.
Any real program that will train you and coach you on starting your
business is going to cost a nice chunk of change. That's because there's
a lot to learn when you get started. Also, the learning never ends, you
will always continue to learn throughout your business venture, trust me
on this.
Starting a Business to Make a lot of
Money
Many people, including me in my early entrepreneurial years, start a
business because of the crazy amount of money they can make. You may
think to yourself, once you have that nice wad of cash saved up then
you'll finally be able to sit back relax and enjoy your time doing the
things you love to do.
This is absolutely the worst reason to start a business. Most people
who start a business or join a business opportunity solely for its
earning potential end up failing miserably in there venture. Why?
Because most of the time they simply don't believe in what they are
doing. You shouldn't have to spend the majority of your time convincing
yourself that what you are doing is a great opportunity.
This is also completely backwards thinking by the way. Now making
money is great, but it's the passion and desire for what you're doing
that makes that money come to you. You build a business on a solid
foundation of belief in what you are doing, and the money will come.
Starting a business just to make a lot of money only lets you focus on
how you're going to make all that great money. As people spend their
time thinking about how they're going to make a fortune, they end up
blinding themselves from the original reasons why they got started, and
there mission and vision become compromised and sacrificed.
Do yourself a favor, don't do it just for the money, do it because you
want to do it.
When You Start Your Business You
Need to Spend All Your Time On It.
This is perhaps one of the most important things you need to know,
especially before you decide to start an internet business. When you're
getting started in your entrepreneurial venture, you, like many other
people may think you need to quit your job and spend every last waking
moment on your business.
I'm here to tell you that is one of the main reasons businesses,
especially home based and internet related fail horribly. Even if you
have a bunch of money saved up in the bank, you need to either keep, or
get some sort of job. People work much harder on their passions when
they are able to pay their bills. When you start any business it can
take some time to see the results. It's much easier to stay dedicated to
your mission when you don't have to worry about when the next check is
coming in, or how you're going to pay this months bills. Even if it's
just a part time job, it's enough to help keep you focused on your goal.
Plus, the people you work with may even want to come and work for you
when your business kicks off, so the networking is a huge advantage to
you too. If you're a student and haven't had a job yet, getting one will
definitely give you some perspective on why so many people join our
program.
Most Home/Internet Businesses Fail
Because of Lack of Knowledge
This myth is actually true, lack of knowledge is a major cause of
business failure, but believe it or not, it's far from being the #1
reason. I mean if you really sit and think about it, what can be worse
than lack of knowledge and training?
Not sure? The one thing that is worse than lack of knowledge is having
it and not using it. So many people strive to get the knowledge they
need to succeed but simply never use it. But this is just a touch of why
most Home/Internet Businesses Fail. The #1 reason why most Home Based /
Internet Businesses fail is BECAUSE THEY
ARE HOME BASED / INTERNET BUSINESSES!!
When you work from the comfort of your home, you can't forget that
this is a business that you are trying to grow. This is why it's
important to love what you do, because with a business comes
responsibility to your customers, members, and of course yourself. So
when you decide to get started with your business, make sure you put the
necessary time in. Some people find it particularly useful to get
dressed up, leave their home, then come back as if they just came into
any other job just to get their mind on track. If you're still too
relaxed and find yourself not getting your work done, then try to
pretend when you’re working on your business, you're working for someone
else, and if you don't get that work done you'll get fired.
Remember you don't have to spend all your time on your business when
you get started, but make sure the time you do reserve gets used
properly.
